Bookings & Capacity

Bookings are preferred and encouraged, particularly during busy periods such as weekends and school holidays.

Walk-ins are welcome when space is available. However, our capacity is limited, so if we are at capacity, you may be turned away.

Parties, private events and other group bookings must be booked in advance.

Each booking reserves a place within the selected play session. Once a session reaches capacity, we may need to turn other families away.

Full payment is required at the time of booking.

By completing a booking, you agree to the Playground Rules and Terms of Entry outlined below.

Play Session Duration

Each play session is 90 minutes.

If you would like to continue playing beyond your booked 90-minute session, you may have the option to extend your play by:

  • 1 additional hour, or

  • 1 additional 90-minute session

Extensions are subject to availability and will be charged accordingly.

If you do not wish to extend your play, you will be asked to vacate the playground and cafe at the end of your booked session so we can prepare the space for the next session.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Because places are limited and each booking reserves a dedicated spot in a session, our cancellation policy helps us manage capacity fairly and gives us the opportunity to offer cancelled spaces to other families.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled session start time will receive a play session credit equal to the full amount paid.

  • The credit may be used towards another play session or party hire booking, subject to availability.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session start time are non-refundable and are not eligible for credit.

Missed sessions due to reasons including illness, injury, holidays, work commitments, family commitments, childcare arrangements, transport issues or changes in personal circumstances do not entitle you to a refund, credit, transfer, make-up session or reduction in fees.

Rescheduling

Bookings may be rescheduled provided:

  • The request is made more than 24 hours before the session start time; and

  • There is availability in the preferred alternative session.

Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the session start time will not be accepted and will be treated in accordance with our cancellation policy.

No-Shows

Failure to attend your booked session without providing notice within the permitted timeframe will be treated as a cancellation within the applicable cancellation period.

No-shows are not eligible for a refund, credit, transfer or rescheduling.

Supervision of Children

Children remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian at all times while attending Pixie Play Cafe.

Parents and guardians must:

  • Actively supervise their child(ren) at all times.

  • Ensure children use the equipment safely and appropriately.

  • Follow all instructions provided by Pixie Play staff.

  • Ensure children behave appropriately and respectfully towards other children and visitors.

  • Ensure children do not intentionally misuse or damage equipment or venue property.

Parents and guardians may be held responsible for the cost of repairing or replacing property, equipment, furnishings or fixtures damaged by their child(ren) where the damage results from misuse, reckless behaviour, failure to follow staff directions or inadequate supervision.

Socks & Footwear Policy

For health, safety and hygiene reasons, all visitors entering beyond the front gate must wear socks, whether they are playing on the equipment or not.

Children

Grip socks are required for children using the play equipment.

Adults

Adults, parents, carers, siblings and other visitors must wear regular socks.

Shoes

Shoes must be removed before entering through the front gate. Shoes and other footwear are not permitted beyond the front gate.

Shoe storage is available outside the gate for your convenience.

Forgot your socks? No problem! Grip socks for children and regular socks for adults are available to purchase at the Pixie Play front counter.

No socks = No entry.

Toilet Training & Hygiene

For the health and safety of all guests, children who are currently toilet training are strongly encouraged to wear a pull-up or other appropriate protective garment while using the play equipment.

If a toileting accident involving bodily fluids occurs within the playground, ball pit, sensory pit or any other play area, Pixie Play may need to temporarily close the affected area for thorough cleaning and sanitisation.

A $180 cleaning fee will apply where contamination occurs within the play area, ball pit, sensory pit, equipment, furnishings or any other part of the venue.

This fee covers cleaning, sanitisation, replacement of affected materials where required and business interruption resulting from the temporary closure of affected areas.

The cleaning fee applies regardless of whether the child was wearing a nappy, pull-up or other protective garment at the time of the incident.

General Playground Rules

For everyone's safety and enjoyment:
